Upcoming Training – Taking a Leap: Values and Practices for Planning an Emergent Curriculum

Frog Hollow Reggio-inspired Learning Centre, in partnership with Hilltop Educator’s Institute, will be offering a 2-day online workshop October 23-24, 2020.

The session will offer specific examples of structures and dispositions that support a dynamic, responsive, customized curriculum for young children. With examples of the practices in use at Hilltop Children's Center in Seattle, participants will have the opportunity to explore strategies for facilitating an emergent curriculum in their own classrooms, schools and centres.

Attendees will have opportunities to explore ways to align Emergent Curriculum with the key early learning principles of BC's Early Learning Framework, such as the Pedagogy of Listening, Reflective Practice / Critical Reflection, Collaborative Dialogue, and Pedagogical Narration.
